We aim to get back to you within 24 Hours or sooner.
Thank you for choosing GenControl!

When you select "No AC alternator (engine only)" option, please make sure your engine has an oil pressure switch fitted as it would be the only source of signal "engine running" to your AECM module. By monitoring the state of oil pressure switch contacts the AECM control module regulates the number of starting attempts.

The oil pressure switch type is identified when engine is not running and is cold. Most engines have normally closed oil pressure switch fitted. The control module controls the number of attempts by monitoring the oil pressure switch state so it is important to have this switch installed.

The water temperature switch type is identified when engine is not running and is cold. Most engines have normally open water temperature switch fitted.

Tip1: Most generators have normally closed fuel solenoid valve (Energise-to-Start). Normally closed fuel solenoid valve stays closed without being powered up unless you want to start and run the set. Tip2: Normally open fuel solenoid valve stays open all the time without being powered up, however it has to be powered up for about 5-15sec to cut the fuel off and stop the engine (Energise-to-Stop). We can program your control module to act this way.

Make sure you left plenty time to your battery for recovering.

This parameter determines the maximum possible duration of crank. If the generator has started quicker, the crank duration will automatically decrease. (Not applicable for engines with no AC alternator. Please select the correct cranking time for every attempt if your engine isn't coupled with AC alternator and doesn't generate 100~300VAC)

During engine cranking and for a short time afterwards the protection hold-off timer is active and the relevant alarms inputs are inhibited. This enables the engine to start and achieve normal running conditions. Once the timer has expired, the inputs are enabled providing normal protection from the module.

Leave it blank if no pre-heat (extra option 1) selected.

This option allows the control module to operate a contactor (we have a wide range of contactors available on our website). It will automatically connect your running generator to load and automatically remove the load (when you turn the ignition switch into stop position) leaving generator running for a cool-down time until it stops. Without the load control output your generator has to be manually connected to load every time you use the set. Starting the set with the load connected is prohibited and shortens the engine's life. Please select the most appropriate warm-up/cool-down time for your engine. Remember: the larger engine is-the longer time it needs to warm-up and cool-down.

Generator has to run for some time to get upto its working temperature prior putting it on load. Please note: warm-up time begins when hold-off time expires. Leave it blank if no load control (extra option 2) selected.

Cool-down time. Generator needs to run for some time without load before it stops. Leave it blank if no load control (extra option 2) selected.

BVS (Battery Voltage Sensor) allows you to automatically run the engine when controlled battery bank is ready to be charged. The BVS controls 2 voltage thresholds: low voltage threshold and high voltage threshold. When controlled voltage becomes equal to low voltage threshold the BVS sends a "run" command to your auto start enabled generator. When controlled voltage becomes equal to high voltage threshold the BVS sends the "stop" command. Please select your preferred BVS settings from drop down menu so we could pre-set your BVS for you. You can always change them on-site later. No special tools required to do this calibration. All you need is a 2 mm hex key (supplied) and your battery bank connected to the BVS. Detailed instructions of manual calibration will be supplied alongside with your order.

Leave it blank if no BVS (extra option 3) selected.

This device allows to start and stop your auto start enabled generator within 17 pre-set time slots throughout the whole week.

Leave it blank if no timeswitches ordered.

Wireless start/stop control allows you to start/stop the engine by pressing a button on a key fob. Working distance: upto 100m in open area.

Select this option if your generator or engine doesn't have any slave relays fitted. Many of the generator valves and solenoids have high currents and it may become necessary to “buffer” the control module against harmful currents. We have 12V 40A or 24V 20A power relays in stock. The rated coil voltage of your relays has to be the same as your generator battery voltage.
